Meet our staffs.

Dr. rer. nat. Wildan Abdussalam

abiWildan was born and raised in Bandung, a capital of West Java province, Indonesia. He got a bachelor’s degree in Physics from University of Padjadjaran. In 2010, he was awarded a scholarship of FNP from Polish government which brought him to pursue a master degree in Nanoengineering; and to start his research with Prof. Pawel Machnikowski at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. After completing master studies in 2012, he was then fortunate to be a Marie Curie PhD fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics and Complex Systems, Dresden, Germany. In August 2017, he completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Pohl. After PhD research, he works at Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf as a post doctoral researcher and since 2020 he has been an invited lecturer of simulations and modelling at the department of Physics, University of Padjadjaran, Sumedang, West Java Indonesia. Beyond his research activities, he is also interested in developing a software and writing novels (See his CV for furher informations CV_wildan). More specifically for his software project, since July 2019 he has been a part of team at the Deutsche Bahn Vertrieb in developing an integrated-ticketing system for entire areas of Germany.

Dr. rer. nat. Hasbuna Kamila

milaMila was born and raised in Bandung. She got a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). In 2012, she was awarded Asia Special Scholarship from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan which brought her to pursue a master degree in Applied Chemistry; and to start his research with Prof. Kazuyuki Kuroda. After completing her degree, she worked as a staff scientist at the Department of Chemistry, ITB; and in 2016, she was fortunate to become a DAAD PhD fellow at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Köln, Germany where she develops a material for aerospace battery together with her advisor Dr. Johannes de Boor. On 8th July 2021 she defended her dissertation and was awarded Doktor rerum naturalium.

Ahmad Z. Ihsan, M.Sc

Screen Shot 2019-09-24 at 21.25.53Ihsan was born and raised in Bandung. He has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). In 2016, he was awarded Beasiswa unggulan from Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia, which brought him to pursue a master degree in Computational Materials Science (CMS), Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, Freiberg, Germany. After completing master thesis with the topic on Data Mining Dislocation Microstructure in 2019, he is fortunate to be a PhD candidate as well as Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (Research Staff) at the Micromechanical Materials Modelling (MiMM) group led by Prof. Stefan Sandfeld.
